Dark Forest~ Powell Gardens

Presented in partnership with Quixotic, Powell Gardens ushers in fall with an immersive, multimedia walk-through experience in the woods. As the dark lush veils of nightfall sweep solemnly across an eerie Midwest sky, Dark Forest invites you to journey through a magical and mysterious wooded landscape where the channels of nature’s mortal realms are fiercely pierced by unexplainable paranormal forces and spellbinding supernatural beings.

Fall Clean The Burg

The Love What’s Local Committee is declaring a Fall Clean the Burg from Thursday, September 21st to Thursday, September 28th. This week-long event’s purpose is to encourage community volunteerism and to spruce up our town for the spring season. Residents, families, community groups, businesses, churches and teenagers who need to perform service hours can seek out projects and implement them during this time. Love What’s Local will not be assigning specific projects, but can suggest areas needing improvement. When posting photos to social media, use the hashtag #CleanTheBurg to be featured on the Love What’s Local social media pages. Warrensburg Farmers' Market 2023 Season

Join us May through September from 8 a.m.-noon for the Warrensburg Farmers’ Market Season around the Johnson County Courthouse Square. There will have a variety of LOCAL homegrown vegetables, fruits, flowers, & food plants for sale. Pasture-raised meats, eggs, baked sweets & loaves of bread, and honey are also for sale at the market. The Farmers’ Market also has several Artisan Vendors who sell homemade soaps, crafts, cutting boards, stitch work, and jewelry. We often invite local musicians to come to liven up Saturday morning markets with their talents. The Warrensburg Farmers’ Market strives to promote a sense of community and support for local farmers, bakers, craftsmen, artists, and the Downtown Businesses Do you grow, create, or produce?
